We find today people arguing that there is no death penalty in Islam. Their argument is baseless and aims to change Islam to suit their understanding of modern times. Such people do not argue from the sea of knowledge we find in Islamic books.

Anti Islamic missionaries allege that the Qur’an nowhere states that the Muslim holy day is Friday. They also allege that according to the Qur’an, Muslims are not commanded to pray even the five compulsory prayers, let alone Friday. Finally they conclude that according to the Qur’an, the Islamic holy day is Sabbath i.e. Saturday.

The alleged problem found by anti Islamic missionaries is one of the most hilarious pieces ever written by the pagans. Obviously my personal favorite is another silly claim of theirs but this one ranks up there.

Before we continue to discuss this topic, it must be brought to attention a habit of anti Islamic missionaries. When the Muslims claim that they quote out of context and rely on mistranslations, they are correct to say so. Even in allegations addressed in this article the missionaries use different translations for different verses. If they quote one verse from one translator and to allege a contradiction, they will use the translation of another translator. Even in using the same translator, there could be translation errors but at least the missionaries should be consistent and not rely on hypocrisy. (more…)
