We find today people arguing that there is no death penalty in Islam. Their argument is baseless and aims to change Islam to suit their understanding of modern times. Such people do not argue from the sea of knowledge we find in Islamic books.

Two extremes offer friction to the Islamic political revival in this “post-modern era.” One is to practically divorce the political aspect following the Christian maxim, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” This simply put means a permanent separation of the church and the state, the model followed by predominantly Christian West.
